Modern editors are much more that file browsers. They do static analysis, syntax colouring, linting and many more things (depending on what plugins you have installed). I still like to open a plain vim and just focus on the task at hand wit

Computer: You cannot login, you're too stressed, go home. I think this is great, but you'd probably need to wear a EEG which is going to be a tough sell until we have something more compact.

What are the reasons to believe that it wouldn't work? ANRC (the body that governs communication) in Romania I think did more (by doing very little) for the Romanian economy than any other government agency. It's funny because we

Granger's 'Light Table' was always an experiment in my mind, but I'm kind of sad that he dropped it and moved on to the next 'let's fix' programming thing. Was it a dead-end?

It might be an incredibly bad idea to have multiple AGIs everywhere in the world, but that's the least bad that I can see too. Also this is amazing, making serious effort towards AGI is what we need. We'll play with RNNs configura

I agree that we're Adobe of the IDE world is crap. But is it really 100$ so expensive for an average developer? Consider how much money you're making because you have these tools.

Great achievement. Let's hope we see first fusion reactions and then sustained fusion soon.

The only issue I can see with this is a lot of HTTPS connections with your analytics platform from your web service. If you choose to use a work queue/proxy to do it, it's additional work/point of failure, etc.. It's not

Gentoo: My linux educator. The fact that you needed to make your own kernel and configure a lot of things on your own made me learn a lot about Linux and GNU. Much more than debian or redhat. There is great value in that I think.

I'm really glad Chrome forces the update. Because I would be sad supporting Chrome 32, 33, 34, 35, ..., 40, 41.. in my Chrome Extension. I would hate using polyfills everywhere and modernizers for my webapps. All I need to care about i

It could be potentially a very stupid idea, but creating multiple AIs at the exact same time with similar resources available to them for development in different locations of the world would create a balance of power. What I'm trying

@davecheney Thanks for your work. If I publish my project on github and use gb with it, then people who want to contribute have to install gb as well. Do you think that in the future there is a chance to do the building of a gb project with

TL;DR: Don't use `go get` if you want reproducible builds. It's early for me to tell, but looks like gb is something like a mix between a gvm (virtual env) and godep (vendorizing). I'm skeptical about things like "don&#x

For those who are interesting finding out more I would recommend: Mining the Sky by John S. Lewis. It's an excellent book that discusses in length the composition of NEO, possible retrieval methods and economics of such an endeavour.

For this to work, there would have to be a lot of people using this extension. If anyone is curious: Stats from GA so far: 1h first page on HN == 600 page views, 11 extension installs and 1 in total comment.
