There's nothing state-of-the-art with 15-30% efficiency LEDs, maybe a few years ago but not 2016, blue LEDs are almost at 59% and even the whites are at about 50%.

I also use pocket and it syncs automatically over wifi with my Kobo e-reader so whenever I go somewhere I've got my articles there on the reader. Rather neat actually and this is built in as a pleasant surprise.

Setting up wego on a raspbian were a bit painful (go in aptitude is 1.3 while wego requires 1.5), the easiest way that works out of the box is simply running curl wttr.in/Localtion ;)

I've done this, went from a Windows Server C# based backend to Linux servers with a completely new backend in Java. Nothing changed on the frontend and no announcement, some users gave feedback that the application seemed snappier thou

I think people sometimes takes recruiters words too literally, wanting proficient in a language is a good way to scare of people afraid of leaving their box (I've met plenty of developers reluctant to try new languages and technologies

While on the topic is there some cheap alternatives to this that can function as a VGA/DVI/HDMI-display+USB-keyboard out today? Also would this support to use the keyboard over usb instead of Bluetooth? I have quite a few servers

Oh Cryptzone, funny they offered me a job a few years back. Interesting that this was left in OpenSSH like this, even more as a default.

How is this device powered? Do you have to charge it or is it connected to an outlet in some way? I'm thinking that you might already have to drill a hole for power.

Wow I totally missed that, I wouldn't say that it's very good UX considering that it doesn't intuitive for many, with the dropdown it's obvious that you can switch.

Considering that the numbers look very pixelated we could probably reproduce the same result with a 7x7 pixel grid for each number (29 pixels for an full 8), after that we could just scale up the image to 1280x960 using a cheap nearest neig

You could set up an promiscuous WiFi card and monitor all active WiFi-sessions, the radio signals are still there, readable even if the actual connection/data is encrypted. We did this at my university to monitor who's in our soci

I think this differs widely from country to country. Here in Sweden our SSN equivalent (personnummer) is public information accessible to anyone by calling calling the register office and today even via various third party online services.

Sorry for slightly offtopic but what do you use to generate slideshows like this from the .slide file? I'm kinda fed up with creating powerpoints every week for meetings, would be great if there's a way to generate these locally.

I've seen people copy pasting stuff along the lines of `wget --no-check-certificate | sudo sh` into their terminals from some random internet source. I'm pulling my hair saying are you even aware of what you're doing?
