In the short to medium-term, it's a hybrid product+consulting business model with consulting gigs to add features, custom sizes, or integrated with specific testing frameworks. Long term, competition is based on brand, build quality, d

I love the easter egg at 3:13. ("ALL PROPRIETARY AND NO OPEN SOURCE MAKES INNOVATION A SLOW PROCESS") The text is upside down in the video, so it's easy to miss. But on that note of open source vs proprietary, I'm buildi

But there is a difference in deal structure. If you want to, you can pay back the investment via profit sharing, which is unheard of in traditional seed/early stage VC deals. (Disclosure: My current company, Tapster Robotics, is one of

Thanks. I'm a fan of Fritzing, but am also concerned by the pace of its development process. I hope it improves!

Maybe I missed it, but there's no mention of whether the focus is adjustable. In the previous version, it was glued at the factory to a fixed focus and the default was wrong for close-ups on objects. Sure, you could use pliers to "

This is one of the "secret" reasons I left the Bay Area to return to Chicago - downtown Chicago (aka The Loop) is beautiful. Please help keep it a secret so everyone doesn't move here and drive the price of everything up. ;)

That's what I did in early summer of 2008. I moved away from Mountain View because everything felt over-priced and unsustainable. So I voted with my feet. Hello from Chicago. :-)
