My first cut at conceiving is to answer "how long would it take a really fast computer to count to that number". The answer for 10^4000 is still something like 10^3978 years. So, a still inconceivable time. (100 tera-ops computer)

I feel frustrated that we cannot conceive of numbers like 10^80 (atoms in the universe) or 10^4000 (number configurations for a system with 4000 variables having 10 states each). Maybe there are superbrains out there in the universe that ca

So, why did our little company's (little used) two Windows machines not BSOD overnight? They were just sitting idle. They run CS Falcon sensor. Did the update force a restart? Didn't seem to happen here.

I have not yet read the linked paper, but seismologists have used the Schroedinger wave equation in seismic imaging since at least the 1970s [1], certainly a "classical" system. [1] https://pubs.geoscienceworld.org/

Yes, that might be adequate, thank you. I can't quite put my finger on what I like about the menubar app, but I do click it 30 times a day. Maybe just habit now. The hotkey is very responsive. Nice!
