None of your complaints are about Windows. They're all, almost universally, about OEM and third-party shovelware. You want to avoid OEMs trashing your computer? Don't pretend this is about a lack of choice, or about Microsoft bein

For the uninitiated this looks completely barbaric, but makes a whole lot of sense when you consider that PS is built around an object-based pipeline. 'Select-String' in PS doesn't actually return a string, but a 'MatchI

After a little consideration, I've decided I don't agree with your position, and that's not because I'm religious (I'm not) and it's not because I disagree with the separation of religion and work. (I do.) No,

I can understand it looking like a derail. If this were a forum for the specific discussion of women's tech issues, I would never have brought it up, because it would be the wrong place. What I'm trying to do is not say is "h

It's not the ultimate platform. Arguably, it's not even a very good platform. What it is, however, is the best platform we currently have. The idea of using email for password exchanges is fraught with difficulty, and not only b

If by 'drone' you mean 'unmanned multirotor', it's actually quite an accurate topic. What's more, it provides more insight into why this is actually a big deal in modern society. A 'drone' is a cheap

DNS is not the issue with mail and MTAs. Setting up an MX record is something you can do after googling and reading for about ten minutes. I have only anecdotal evidence to prove this, but that's basically how I set up my own first mai

To be honest, the article isn't really all that wrong or sensationalist - It's a little bit simplified in some spots but for the most part is an accurate depiction of how simple it is to perform man-in-the-middle attacks on the un

That's still user-hostile. Don't get me wrong, as a Windows sysadmin I love Powershell and use it daily to accomplish various tasks. I have no problem with rolling my own scheduled powershell script to perform a backup, but if if
