In the early stages: Speed of development is far more important than optimizing CPU usage. You can fake your way to fast responses with good caching, but there's not really many ways to fake having the best features.

You can plug it into a display, and plug in a mouse + keyboard. I'd be inclined to buy one of these for gaming and an ultra light laptop for laptop stuff when the time comes, versus getting a gaming laptop or desktop.
