Ok, but nobody in the US calls it a pension so when you refer to a pension everyone is assuming the one you got from an employer.

When it comes to health 'us, America' is so incredibly diverse in behavior that it's nearly meaningless. We can have a medical break through that lets us revive stroke victims as brain dead patients that live for years in bed

But that's even more reason to split out the stats. It would be very good to know that the average life expectancy for opioid users is much lower before I consider taking them. Life expectancy if you get the surgery and medicate with p

None of those reasons the life expectancy decreased had anything to do with income inequality. Nobody died from an accident or Alzheimers because rich people got more money. Please don't use this as an excuse for whatever pet issue you

You've gone a bit off the rail here because most people in the US don't get pensions and we aren't forcing tons of people to die in the street. I think you are confusing pensions with social security. Social security already

I think you might be blinded by your love for high density. Traffic, long commutes, higher crime, higher rent compared to the average salary (adults need roommates), long lines for anything decent, crappy parking or crappy public transit...

>the Earth is having a really tough time Pointless statement because you are anthropomorphizing the planet. The only way the plan ceases to exist is if we manage to blow it up. Otherwise it's fine. Be more precise in your words. >

Having lots of homeless people on the streets is the opposite of solving the homeless problem. SF should be demonized.

What are we supposed to do? People seem to be against institutionalization because it denies them their freedom and they refuse to use the many public and private homeless assistance programs available to them.

It's not as hard to organize people along ideological boundaries as you might think. Look at the power of the US political parties, the NRA, unions, etc. If we want to stop regulatory capture, stop that. Don't worry if it's o

Can you explain why wealth inequality is bad? If me and the rest the million other people in my city have $100,000, some billionaire in a city somewhere else making another 100 million doesn't really have any impact on me directly. Yet

I think your scope of college students is too narrow. You do not have to do well in high school to get into some kind of low tier college. Low tier colleges will take anyone with a pulse who can get a loan.
