What meaningful local connections have you formed taking to strangers in a coffee shop? I listen to the conversations people have at coffee shops with random people and it's been pointless smalltalk every time so far.

Not really, I've seen many grocery stores have sections dedicated specifically to local stuff because of the whole 'local' movement.

If my favorite services are not sustainable in a subscription model then I would rather they die off until someone more innovative finds a way to make it work without advertising.

The fact that real Googlers post here eliminates the need for PR to post. Google employees are participants willing supporting Google in exchange for money so they are incentivized to post only good things about Google or risk violating pol

>That's assuming that it's a simple process to publish a huge list. Oh please. Claiming Google can't publish a giant list is really disingenuous. The question is really if they want to or not.

Using technology != technologist in this context. Calling a doctor a technologist essentially makes everyone a technologist and the term becomes meaningless.

Meh, that's not my experience with middle class folks. The only complaints I would hear about Walmart stuff is bad fits, etc. I think you're referring to upper middle class people, which is a much smaller portion of the population

Why do you want to detect the difference between a user signing up with one email account twice or two different accounts? It's folly to try to detect this in this manner and you will only piss off regular users.

None of those are apt comparisons because people don't pay for the brand signaling. Laptop stickers and conference shirts are free or dirt cheap. The logos you see in a coffee shop on electronics are side effects of purchasing the prod

That absolutely does not work. The prices of all of the homes anywhere near the high density area would sky rocket. Do you realize how much a single story house with a yard within a block of Chelsea Market in NYC would be worth? High rise c

It's not that simple. You can't add more land for 1000 more houses in the desirable areas of town. So people renting in the desirable houses are going to get forced out into the new apartments because the rich can outbid them for
