That's lax as hell. You kill someone with a car, you better not ever be able to use a car again. Mandatory to sell your car, license revoked, ankle monitor or something if needed to keep you out of your car. Don't play with people

And I expect that the report would include those facts alongside the quote so I could make that decision. This does not. Readers are not going to go on their own investigation.

The scroll response is backward, but otherwise very cool! When I scroll down, the ball goes up the screen, but the liquid goes up as well, whereas in real life it would be compressed towards the bottom of the ball.

I will never get over how "reporting" seems to amount to publishing a bunch of quotes by people without assessing their credibility. Why give Wisconsin Republicans, noted bad actors, a free mouthpiece in this article at all, let a

You can't just will this to happen by saying it. The reality is very different. Either their brainwashing works so well that tons of consumers AND other companies buy into it and follow along, or maybe they're onto something.

They're very useful for very limited things - "Set a timer for 30 minutes" or "Wake me up at 8am" is easier than doing that yourself. Even dictating a short text in a pinch is nice. Think "in the kitchen"

Salaries are a huge contributor to the budget, and there are many roles, starting with conductors, that are unnecessary or could be modified/retrained.

In NYC the L and soon the 7 could be operated with one person, but the union insists two remain onboard for "safety."

"If something's not working well, abandon it" is pretty pathetic advice. There are very clear ways to fix the problem, the only cause for pessimism is whether the people in charge will do the right things.

That's an adjective. "Sunsetting" as a verb is an obnoxious use of language to avoid saying "we failed and are closing"

It's absolutely a weasel word, because there are plenty of common and clear ways to say this. The only reason it exists is so companies don't have to use words that connote a lack of success.

That's all stuff for the designer and content to determine. But if there's room, it's always better to show the user the choices they have than not.

Design responsively and assume that every size of window is equally likely at some point in time. Just because a use-case isn't common, does that mean your product or website shouldn't be usable on it?

That's not the idea as much as moving parking away from IMMEDIATELY next to the station - and improving bus links to rail transit.

yeah, pedestrianizing or making roads into transitways does actually solve quite a bit of traffic locally. The trick is to do it holistically - most of the time everyone on both sides is looking far too short term and pounces on the results
