What you listed are just ways we've learned to live with the forgeable nature of signatures. Now voice recordings (and even videos) will have a similar fate in the future.

There are ethical concerns but I think we'll just learn to live with it. Forging signatures are easy and have been around forever but signatures are still used for very important purposes (even electronically now!). It may take a while

Amish have that luxury because they're in their safe bubble in rural America. Any other communities that tried to live that lifestyle probably got wiped out by their neighbors through out the history.

If electrocution is more gruesome because the inmate doesn't die immediately, then why not put them under general anesthesia then electrocute? That sounds more humane than a firing squad.

When Microsoft Exchange servers were hacked a few days ago, people on hacker news were talking about how most companies are not capable of securing their own on-premise systems and they should have used Office 365. There really isn't a

Back of the envelope calculation to charge 100KWh battery in 10 minutes is about 750A [1] assuming 100% efficiency at 800V (back of the envelope optimism). Tesla Superchargers are already capable of 800A and Porsche is already using 800V. S

In some states, the DMV uses the photo you took during your permit test. Clueless 15 year olds show up with messy hair to take the written test, get their photo taken and now that photo could be on your driver's license till your 30s.
