I just signed up our company for the Backblaze trial a couple of days ago and your posts here have been reassuring. Good job!

Alternatively, just throw Android in there and let me hack away. That would at least be fun.

It would be easier just to write a script that makes repeated requests and running that since it's just HTTP anyway

I work at a third party Apple repairer. We get 1-5 calls a day about the greyed out WiFi issue. 99% of the time, it's a 4S and we have to refer them to Apple for repair. It can usually be fixed by resoldering the WiFi chip but we can&#

Off topic: that has got to be the most annoying forum quote/threading I've ever come across.

It took me a while to get used to it - I found I had to start out with minimal settings and slowly turn them up. I find I can sleep much faster now with it.

That last line is a serious dealbreaker. We run Lightspeed Pro POS at our two retail locations, and while it is great it still does some things stupid. On the bright side, it does sync with Magento for our website.

This is all correct. While there have been A5/A6 jailbreaks, none have been at a low enough level (not a bootloader exploit) to provide the facility to load a ramdisk so none of the above tool methods are compatible.

True, but you can still access files on the device even with a complex passcode using the SSH ramdisk tool.

I've used msftguy's SSH ramdisk tool plus the iphone-dataprotection tools on Google Code. Takes about 20 minutes maximum to bruteforce the 4 digit PIN. What the poster doesn't mention that this only works on devices with iBoo

This isn't true for devices with the A5, A6 or A5 processor. The iPad 2, 3, 4, mini, 4S, 5, 5C and 5S are safe.

I agree, things like Oauth are also massively overkill for what should be simple jobs. The other day I was writing a script for my own personal use that needed to get some metadata from Imgur. Their API /requires/ OAuth, when even a json sn

It's interesting how LTE doesn't always mean fast. Here in New Zealand carriers have only been testing LTE while upgrading their networks to 42mbps DC-HSPA. At home I can average about 30mbps on my iPad and iPhone over 3G. For me, I'd rathe
