I have created a (work-in-progress) Vim plugin [1], that uses Vim's conceal feature to visually map the relevant ASCII characters to printable characters. It sort of works, but there are known issues which I have listed in the README.

Orbit yes; but ring formation I imagine would require a delicate balance of forces to maintain equilibrium. Which would imply this ring is either very young or formed by an extraordinary coincidence or umm.. curated.

Whoa! I guess the big news here is that rings around such a gravitationally weak body would be a rare occurrence in nature... indicating a high possibility of an artificially designed / constructed structure. Edit: Not sure if I am bei

You are conflating big with rich . It is possible to dislike the former and yet support the latter. Often, when companies get big , the motives change from "making a great product" to "milking the user for more money"

This is not a legal proceeding. It is more of an emotional outpouring of disappointment. The unwritten deal was that the funders were backing a low-overhead, indie organisation.

When it comes to installability and compatibility nothing beats Ubuntu. I have installed Ubuntu on about 10 machines (desktops + laptops) in the past couple of years. Always worked out of the box.

The main factor here seems to be hardware cost of upgrading to a newer version of Windows. Since Linux can run on older hardware, it is a cost-effective solution (in spite of the cost of developing a new solution). Also, I didn't get y

Not only that, people who use this tactic are helping improve the pay-walled article's page ranking, because most search engines will record that click and account it as a good search result. So from publisher's perspective, they

To me Xtend seems like an ideal Java++. I actually like that it compiles down to Java. The only hitch is that the Xtend is still very much a work in progress. It doesn't support inner classes and anonymous classes!

I welcome this direction. Google needs to make money directly from user, instead of advertisements. What I don't like is, even after I pay for this, I will still see ads and my data will still be farmed.

This is a fine suggestion for large, systematically developed projects. But for hobby projects supported by an occasional community contribution, branching everytime can be cumbersome.
