To me the KB is the actual content and how it is laid out/its relations (which should be expressed in the filesystem or in plaintext). The client is more of a view/renderer. That feels like the right metaphor for my usage at least

I think the point is that if the side effects become known and are accepted, or if they are known and rejected, then indeed the purpose of the system is what it does.

This seems like it could trivially comply with the requirements with a minor restructuring of the onboarding flow. I can't use playlist.new without having a spotify account, for instance.

In my experience, yes. It has done a great job of choosing which changes should be integrated based on context in the repo, too.

They can already do this, no? MCPs regularly dump their results to a textfile and other tools (cli or otherwise) filter it.

To be clear, are the main differentiators basically better built-in MCPs and better UX? Not knocking just trying to understand the differences. I have had incredible success debugging issues by just hooking up Datadog MCP and giving agents

How does this differ from cursor cloud agents where I can hook up MCPs, etc and even launch the agent in my own cloud to connect directly to internal hosts like dbs?

My point was if you are only looking at the reduction in crime as the sole success criterion we will all end up naked in glass cells because that would result in the lowest crime rates.

You can start a tmux session and tell your agent about it and it will happily send commands and get the output from it. I saw this post a while ago that turned me on to the idea: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=46570397

No it's not. Would crime go up, down, or stay the same if we had to get strip searched before entering airplanes?

I think the issue is that people see them as agents of themselves with the authority to act on their behalf, much like a personal assistant, rather than a coworker.

I don't understand this line of thinking. The spreading of a false rumor is an example of a competitive marketplace? If this took place in a different domain wouldn't it be fraud? That it was in the public benefit seems orthogonal
