Programming is , or at least can be, rocket surgery. Programmers at SpaceX are building and modifying the (figurative) brains of self-stabilizing rockets...

Though I always like to learn more about Vim, there are way too many commands in this list to call it a "Best of", and it seems that many of them are not actually that useful.

You mean it's on the landing page? I don't see any demo. I agree, you should give the user at least a preview before asking for their email.

To persist data you'll want a backend. That's a fairly important piece of any application which is why I included it in the tutorial. You could ignore the Rails parts of the tutorial and create your own backend.

That's a valid complaint. I wrote it with a Rails backend because that's a pretty popular backend choice for Ember, and they work together well. Perhaps I can just extract out the Ember portion -- It should still be applicable reg

That's funny. My friend just told me this too -- I got to the theater about 5 minutes late.

I suppose that's true. Maybe the desired commits could be cherry picked onto the branch before you make the branch into master.

Here's a ruby solution that only affects 2+2: class Fixnum alias_method :old_plus, :+ def +(other) return 5 if (self == 2 && other == 2) old_plus(other) end end

I'm really interested in chatbots, though it seems the underlying state of the art is still pretty poor. Mitsuku ( http://www.mitsuku.com/ ) won the Loebner Prize last year, and that chatbot still runs on basic AIML file

Basically, yes. It's like Pivotal Tracker as a custom kanban board.

The idea behind Phaser is really Pivotal Tracker as a custom kanban board.

Sure. Or if you know about kanban boards, which have been around for a long time.

I understand where you're coming from. Keeping a text file synced with the web interface would be super cool. It would certainly be a fun engineering challenge. I'll keep that idea in mind.

You also get the following with Phaser: - create and group many stories at once with indentation. you can optionally use Vim for this - stories have statuses that keep track of state: Started, Finished, Delivered, Accepted, and Rejected. Th

A phase in Phaser is equivalent to a column in Trello. You aren't tied to a specific process in Phaser. You can create a different set of phases for each project and you can change them at any time. I understand your point on the term
