Do you have a good record of these sites/configurations? We suspect it's related to the host environment in some way that we can't reproduce on our machines. It'd be useful information for debugging if you can share it.

“The winning odds of 1/3 on the first choice can’t go up to 1/2 just because the host opens a losing door,” Wow. I've never seen it phrased so simply. _of course_ it doesn't change–if you picked the door with a goat, the

That's rather cynical. If an employer says I'm fine to talk about the company in public forums, but they only request I give a disclosure, then that's why I give a disclosure. Not some pointless brag. You can argue that legal

I agree, but felt like confirming it anecdotally. I asked my two sisters, in their 20s (not in tech): they both had this misconception from school. A friend (not in tech) did too, but only until he tried registering a domain of his own and

Yea, you can avoid it without losing much at all. Most common place IME you end up needing to use it are when assigning functions on a class as event listeners: if you want to be able to remove them, you need to use the same value in `addEv

That should work in the provided example, but in general `fn(cb)` is different: you lose the implied `this` binding unless you do `cb.bind(something)` beforehand. There's also some unexpected trouble due to potential extra parameters.
