I wouldn't be surprised if us zoomers were more wary of incurring debt on credit cards because they seem more complex, predatory, or expensive than some BNPL with a user-friendly app. But just using them and paying them off, that

There are also well-off people who don't watch their bills super closely and accidentally pay fees. Autopay is disabled by default, and default autopay mode is often "min due," which results in interest owed. Or they charge r

Yeah, that worked, thanks! I didn't think to try that, probably because I don't typically go towards absolute positioning (I'm sorta n00b), but it makes sense now.

Either ChatGPT has gotten better or I gave it a better prompt this time. It suggested this padding-bottom hack that sorta works but requires hardcoding aspect ratios, which I didn't want, but at least it demonstrates the layout we want

That results in empty bars on the sides or top/bottom, which we didn't want. We wanted the div to resize to match the aspect ratio of the image. Realized my above comment wasn't clear about this, so I edited it.

I'll make one when I get home. IIRC: You'd scroll down vertically on the site, through divs with different backgrounds. The initial HTML/CSS approach was nothing special, just adjacent divs with background-image with backgrou

Last time I wanted to make a simple static webpage, I thought just HTML/CSS would be enough. My friend wanted some background images that don't become stretched or cropped no matter what the window shape is. If there's some w

It'd mean directing people to a new email address, downloading stuff out of Drive, and maybe not advertising via Google. That doesn't seem like a lot. If your job is YouTube content creation, you'd need a new job, but you als

It's unlikely that two things with the same name in different packages do the same thing. It's also kinda unlikely that you have a collision in the first place. And if the theoretical problem with `import numpy as np` is that you

Wanting free speech on internet forums is different from wanting it at the government level. I'm not sure what Free Speech Absolutism is, but if it means unmoderated internet forums, yeah that usually doesn't end well even if only

Yeah, even if there's no sandbox mode, a separate sandbox account will usually do. Sometimes this catches misuse that would've caused rate-limiting in prod. And if a service makes this hard, maybe you shouldn't use it in prod
