What stops an attacker running rkhunter --proupd after he/she has installed backdoors in a few of your binaries ? I realise what rkhunter does (searches for common backdoors), but I can't see what advantage the proupd argument adds.

Thanks. I was able to read it after a quick refresh and escape key juggle, but that I should have to do so is annoying. For reference: this is what I get when i click on link (and every previous link from HN to that site)

Please don't link to sites that require you to sign-up to read their articles. Yes, you can hack the DOM and remove the pop-over to make it readable, or hit the escape key at the right time, but why bother?

don't bother donating to ubuntu. they don't fix bugs. they just add new "features" instead that break so many other things you forget about the initial bug altogether. try out debian or linux mint or any other distro. ubuntu is for sadists.

It seems to leave out some important information. Eg. It refers to HEAD many times, but never seems to explain what this is? I can find out what this is easily enough elsewhere, but from my immersion so far I feel that it should be explaine
