I dont think there is anything wrong with safety nets, but I think its silly to think that over 50% of the world is going to live like kings when the work like fast food laborers.

The world will operate under a meritocracy because Nature/capitalism has deemed it the most effective. We can't play roulette with our leadership. There is a reason monarchies are good as dead.

I bill Blue Cross Blue Shield and the cost of a service was $125. A different insurance was $70. The medicaid patients are $40 (and our company would collapse if we only had these patients). They are basically break even, or a loss when the

There will always be a reason to use a language other than Python, but I'm finding more and more, 'why not use python'? Sure when my website/app/software gets 10k concurrent users, I might regret it, but I havent re

Huh, I am an individual who is a scientist, not a web dev. I paid some company to do my email. I email 3 times per year and get 'spam' warnings from AWS every time despite everyone subscribing through a: "SUBSCRIBE TO OUR NEW

iphones are the scariest device to do anything important on. I had a moment of total freakout when I realized the person across from me at lunch had an iPhone on the table. Actually he had an Android, and we continued talking like no big de

I'm not sure the marketing department cares. Apple has literally said their customers had lied about the butterfly keyboard issue for years, when they did the lying. They cannot be damaged, they have a populist demagogue-like effect.

Apple is the classic defector in the prisoners dilemma. Hard to think of a company that has cooperated the least. Between anti-consumer behavior, cutting edge anti-tax behavior, and anti-competitive behaviors, they are defectors. It very mu

Just move on. I've realized that Nintendo finds a way to make me suffer in disappointment. Gaming got a lot better when I ripped the Nintendo bandaid off. (And I stopped buying games that are less than 1 year old)

How long does it take to answer "2+2=" I have a 3060 on a laptop and it is faster than gpt4. I use it all the time. How can you possibly use this? I tried doing CPU based on a bleeding edge laptop and couldn't use it.
