What about punch cards? Real programmers write the code and throw it away after compilation. All the fixes happen in the binary. You are not a real programmer unless you debug hex dumps and add changes directly to the compiled program. Text

Nah, finally I got a clean fedora install with barely anything. No crap for now! Just because everyone is profitmaxxing anthropic by running all the agents, I don't have to.

I have a wrist pain from typing a lot. I prefer to generate and then audit. Just make changes one file at a time and then review and commit. So I go from typing to prompting and reviewing diffs. There is no way I install an agent on my lapt

Working on a no-code tool to make it easier to self host fully compliant databases with an audit first approach. Startups should be able to deploy their own SOC2 compliance ready databases without paying cloud providers to do the deployment

I applaud the idea to try to do this but for one postgresql tests are not 100% coverage. So even if they reach 100% compatibility they never get equality. Then Vibe into that and add changes that breaks the existing coverage... Why not reim

I meant that not everyone is doing it at home. Do you think a person's private computer is a secure workplace? If it was security sensitive space there would be no agents running amuck.

All those things are optional. Doesn't make uploading the keys that much better. Now is the time for key rotation everywhere. Fast.

The passphrase is optional, not everyone has it. It also has to be a secure password, people often don't care because it's a local file and generally not exposed to the internet.

Its true about the battle test I wonder if new version of Bun has the same emotional values in Jarred's mind, I mean he did write it by hand and struggled for a long time and invested a lot of energy. Meanwhile the rust rewrite just ma

For that money they could hire engineers to do it without having so many unsafe blocks. The only gain is speed.

Avoid making programs very complex. They can grow big and have a lot of features, but stay as simple as possible. Depends what I want but I can give a completely new context for every generation. I try to make everything as simple and human

Did anyone else notice the pattern that ever since the LLMs got popular the "I hate javascript" kind of posts or comments have decreased? It could be attributed also to typescript dominance of course, since people don't use p

I use the human-in-the-loop for managing the context. Give it only what it needs and do things usually 1 file at a time. Feels like I'm a sort of manual tape editor, if the context was a tape fed into machine, I assemble that and then

I think I use it differently. I still mainly stick to web UI. I write a good prompt, paste the code then copy the output code and place it into my project. So in the end I hand assemble and I only give it what it needs to know so no extra c

Agents manage agents. The middle management in companies is one of the worst inventions ever. I think baboons have better middle management structure than us. Might as well replace all that.
