LLM providers want to a) make you dependent on their services as you outsource your skills and cognition and b) use that dependency to skim the cream off every economic activity.

Replace "no longer want" with "unable to". The ability will have completely atrophied.

Wikipedia isn't going to write your paper for you. I don't see the difference between an LLM and one of those paper writing services in this context.

It'll be interesting to see a society where there's a big negative incentive to actually sitting down and understanding how things work, in the name of efficiency.

I feel bad for those kids. Imagine having an issue that wasn't caught and your parents now see you as defective goods.

Well, with AI agents, there's no incentive to make good faceted search anymore either.

Oh definitely. Maybe I'm overly optimistic, but I think you can be in like the top 20% of physical fitness by just consistently moving and lifting weights.

Password managers could warn about this, like "WEBSITES WILL NEVER ASK YOU FOR THIS DATA". I don't think we should cripple Passkeys and limit syncing to third-party walled gardens because users are stupid.

They're a great technology that the FIDO Alliance is trying their best to cripple.

Cutting government waste sometimes requires hiring more "inefficient bureaucrats". Oftentimes the existing structure is that they're capital allocators for armies of consultants. Nobody wants to go after that waste. Hell, the

Mike Tyson's is very clean, but personally I just don't like "tribal" tattoos unless you're Maori or part of a cultural that does them. They seem more cohesive somehow. Ok, I do like her head tattoos.

Could be that they're understanding your preference as a normative statement. You're probably not the first person to mention how they would look better without tattoos, even if that's not exactly what you meant.

I think tattoos can quite often look nice, so no, not everyone "knew this to be true." Just say what you believe instead of trying to launder your opinion as generally accepted truth.
