+1 I can understand people being annoyed by in video sponsorship if it’s done too much, but if you’re not paying for premium and you’re complaining about ads you’re not worth taking seriously. Being able to pay to remove ads is one of the b

Cultural failure - I thought Alex Karp's recent book was pretty good and worth reading. It makes the case that our culture has failed to articulate the things that make the west great (and worth defending) and as a result it's cre

School beats agency out of students. It's particularly bad because agency seems relatively rare and if someone has the spark, the highest leverage thing that a society can do is to encourage it. By the time most kids get out they'

Doesn't have to be lying - just dumb errors. They probably got the box and didn't know what it was and threw it out by accident. It's easy enough to do. Given the entire post is them making dumb errors and then blaming others

I’ve been in many cars where they don’t stay pointed and where the moving mechanism plastic broke off from where it’s connected so it doesn’t move the vent fins at all.

Yeah those suck - the vents often break, they’re ugly, they don’t work as well. The Tesla vents are great, the ui is good or can use voice. Other companies that attempt what Tesla does do it poorly with bad software.

I think the thing they got wrong is it’s not a grocery store. It’s a casino - you can have a good time there, but the house isn’t interested in what’s best for you, but what’s best for them. Even that’s imperfect because Zuck really was int

This is the correct model. If you want your own home you can use something like Urbit. Generally in the web as it is, we are all serfs on other people’s computers.
