that is a fair statement. I don't think you're wrong about it, by any means. I do think that we can't lay the entire blame on the medium of communication, though, either. People really need to take a step back when they fi

Just tried getting on DartMUD. Their character registration process is so hostile with their requirements (no free email providers???) Yup. DartMUD will remain squarely in my memory, and I won't bother trying to play it now.

well, time to throw my brand-new BenQ 24" 1080p monitor in the garbage, I guess. but really....1080p is just fine for looking at text on a screen. Maybe the reason the text is blurry for you is that _you need glasses_.

I'm currently a software engineer in a midwestern city and the average salary for a software engineer here is only ~75k USD.

doesn't that depend on where you live, though? A Software Engineer in the bay area gets paid a lot more than a Software Engineer with equivalent experience in the mid-west.

JSX vs Templates has almost evolved into a holy war at this point within the js community. There are benefits and drawbacks to both, so you'll find people coming down on either side of the argument. My main reason for preferring templ

I came from a java background. Company I started at used an old templating approach using freemarker, and you could say it just stuck with me. I'm not 100% opposed to JSX, and I think it has its uses, but I prefer to keep the renderi

One thing that is bugging me is that, while the article mentions DataLoader, it kind of just breezes over it without explaining the reasons why DataLoader isn't a good long-term solution. > Besides the popular Dataloader approach, a

I'm not seeing anything in what you said that would prove WSL2 is not Linux. Saying WSL2 is Linux does _not_, in fact, imply that Linux is WSL2, and there have never been any claims to that by anyone within or outside of Microsoft. Wh

That's fair. True, it may be a modified linux kernel, but it is still linux. To say otherwise would be disingenuous and misleading, imo. WSL1, on the other hand, was just a proxy masquerading as a linux kernel, so I would understand

WSL2 IS linux though. There was definitely an argument to be made that WSL1 wasn't linux, but WSL2 is full linux within a virtual machine on windows. I don't know how you can claim that is not the 'real thing' when it
