I really don't see how this is a "serious problem". The only thing unencrypted is the site's domain name. Who cares? Site domains are public anyways. Definitely two opinions on this matter, I suppose. But for me, I re

Thats basically all it is. There is no permanent storage on a Chromebook, since even the downloads folder will clear out old downloads as storage becomes limited.

Then there are some people, like me, who were unhappy with the size of the storage space and replaced the ssd with a 256GB ssd. Storage not a problem any more. :)

Thats basically the setup I use. Old 48" flatscreen (not even 1080p) with an Xbox One plugged into it as my media center. Smart enough for me right now at least.

Beef is one of Maui's largest exports, actually. Would never have thought that, but there it is. There is an old western movie about the first Hawaiian cattle ranch, can't remember the name of it, but I know my parents have it on

I can attest that using Guardian is probably the best way to go so far with Phoenix. It worked great.

depending on language, VSCode will be vastly inferior. If using Java, Groovy, Kotlin, or Scala, Intellij will be much more valuable in terms of time-saving than the $600/mo subscription savings. For most other languages, VSCode is easi

The disclosure came from Google. Of course there's a bias if they spent time coming up with a mitigation within their software. They aren't responsible for other browsers, so why would they research fixes within those browsers?

even funnier is that link doesn't take me to anything resembling a page where I can close my account. Almost like they don't want me to or something. Literally no button or link anywhere within the profile settings that I can see

Tried 16.10 with Unity 8 in a VirtualBox VM, and after typing in my password and hitting enter, all I get is a black screen for a few seconds before being put back on the login screen. It seems their developer preview has issues.

"I need to display data on a page, not perform Sub Zero’s original MK fatality." This sums up my opinion of the whole React+Redux+Webpack+SatansSeventhCircleOfHellLib combination.

I wouldn't go as far as saying bootcamps are better. My experience with Bootcamp grads has been pretty lackluster to say the least. They get taught the absolute basics with a "guarantee" for employment after, but not many te

I started using Phoenix for my most recent side project. So far, am really liking Elixir and everything that comes with it. Obviously, I am still learning, but the inclusion of the entire Erlang ecosystem is a big plus. Will have to say t

Why does this feel like they are just giving the finger to ChromeOS users? So basically, we have an OS that will only run chrome apps, and they are removing the ability to create chrome apps. I'd be more okay with this if they gave Chr

Was gonna say that. Gas burners don't give any such warning. When I was a kid, I remember seeing my neighbors truck going up in flames in mere SECONDS. They got in the truck, turned the key, and it didn't start. They felt the d

I really don't know how the Toshiba Chromebook 2 2015 didn't make the cut. For $300 you get an Intel chipset, 1080p screen, and 4 gigs of RAM. Not to mention the SSD is swappable. Seems kind of silly the "winner" Chrom

I think it really depends on the level to which you use tools like JIRA, and it also depends on how involved the developers are in the project planning. We use JIRA, but our PMs understand the importance of fixing things that are broken. R

This is just plain incorrect. Yes, the original API was written in java, but Sikuli scripts are written in Jython. I did an entire automation project using Sikuli written in jython without any hiccups a couple of years ago.
