I am disgusted by the answer here, people are inconvenienced by minor gripes about electric heating, claim that banning gas stoves miss the big picture, but gas stove is the enabler to heat your whole house with it, it is really the sign we

ridiculous quote of $/kWh of batteries, poor analysis of degradation which is way more complicated than they assume, also you should understand that soon carbon will have a price, airlines won't have a freeride forever

this toy model use constant load, ignore grid cost, inertia needs, multi year weather pattern on renewable production other most sophisticated model can disagree with your observations

You are mixing up frequency control and inertia, Hornsdate brings FCAS but no inertia, it would need grid forming inverter.

The point is not about future price evolution, but the marginal price of storing 1h more, if you just need another tank it will be cheaper than having the same energy in a battery, with the same system to store and destore the liquid air. L

The relatively new Node graph visualization can't be used with any datasource, even if you select the data to fit the model of the two nodes and edges data frames, because it needs a special meta property to work. EDIT: it seems it is

And the study say nothing specific about EV, also if you read the study that is supposed to justify why it ignore diet emission, it doesn't talk at all about a supposed lack of food increase in the face of increased physical effort, bu

I use extensively DbBrowser for sqlite to plot simple graph from sql queries of imported csv files, it is easier than to start a jupyter environment with python and pandas or r studio.

There is nothing wrong in having public investment only conventional nuclear plant. Small Modular Reactor is still a possibility for private investment. France reactors are not outdated but functional and updated for post Fukushima security

If the average carbon intensity of french grid is in the 40g, if you take into account when heating is used it is more in the 80gCO2/kWh, anyway a heat pump is always better. http://www.carbone4.com/wp-content/uplo

At worst wind provided only 2% of its capacity, 40GWh would be gone in minutes, please count on TWh.

At the worst wind only provided 0.7GW on 30GW installed, with capacity they count on during winter peaking events for wind of 6.2GW it only 11%.

How do you reconcile with the fact that at the worst wind only provided 0.7GW on 30GW installed. Don't you understand that people are going to blame wind because it only provided 2% of its total capacity. Also even taking into account
