Okay, so 2.4% disagreed. Why is that interesting? Is that too little? What would a healthy amount of disagreement look like?

Huh? I was just saying that given that he only hires white people, the median income for people at his company should be $67k.

Right. It would be about $34k here in Philadelphia, which would be very low at my company.

I wish it didn't show Philadelphia as Trenton/Camden. That is so incorrect.

Gerrymandering has more to do with local elections than presidential -- unless you're suggesting that the outlines of the states are 200 year old conspiracies by and against parties that didn't even exist yet.

They're really hurting themselves with this legislation, I for one welcome it. If pirating Beyoncé will put you in jail, more people will be willing to listen to all of the great free music on sites like bandcamp and soundcloud. That&#

There's too many great bicycle brands to need a Miele. People who buy bicycles are already discerning. If you just want a bike to get around a Surly is always a safe bet.

The internet evolved over the phone lines, where providers were legally banned from blocking traffic. They were made to play nice. The fact we still have a free internet is the result of that legacy.

Exactly, R&D requires capital. Capital comes from profits. Overly competitive markets destroys profits, destroying capital. Thus too much competition destroys R&D. Look at the airlines. There doesn't need to be this much compet

Thank you. The knee-jerk belief that small business is always better is profoundly un-historical. Most of the greatest inventions of the past 100 years have come from large businesses that had the man-power and capital to invest in signific

This is nothing like the phone lines -- the FCC isn't going to come in and force them to play nice, and these companies are not going to do it out of the goodness of their hearts. The big players will just starve out the little ones.

There is not a chance in hell this thing is coming anywhere near the Cintiq's 2,048 pressure levels. The Surface Pro 3, for example, clocks in at about 256 levels. Good enough for note taking, not good enough for any serious graphics w

You're confusing the Dao of heaven with the Dao of sages, to borrow from Dao Chapter 81. That is to say, you're confusing Daoism as a practicable and political philosophy (à la Chapter 19, Chapter 80) with Daoism as a metaphysical

Twice the median total would still be $70,000 so I'm not sure what you're getting at. You don't think $70k seems like a reasonable salary for a skilled graphic designer?

We've offered a salary twice the median for our city, plus benefits, paid transportation, 401k matching and 3-year enrollment to our profit sharing plan. It's not a pay issue as best as I can tell.
