The getting started guide linked by the website states: > Note: The size of the tables you query are important because BigQuery is billed based on the number of processed data. There is 1TB of processed data included in the free tier, so

I think seeing it as Patreon for open source is fine, as Patreon's offering is quite ill-suited for OSS (e.g. bad/abandoned API), leaving a lot of room in that niche. As far as I can tell you can still contribute financially via P

Eh, I think it's about as bad as the OpenAI method of officially announcing something and then "continuously rolling it out to all subscribers" which may be anything between a few days and months.

That looks like quite an impressive output in that time! It appears that there is now more of focus on subscriptions with tiered private content rather than the "funded backlog" mechanic highlighted in the announcement blog post,

Demo worked fine until I added the kubetail-demo pod as a source, which crashed my browser tab. Copying the same URL into a new tab loaded the page but stuck in "Loading logs" until it also crashed the tab.

I'm assuming that they have implemented it via a MemGPT-like approach, which doesn't clog the context window. The main pre-requisite for doing that is having good function calling, where OpenAI currently is significantly in the le

My main usage of ChatGPT/Phind is for work-transactional things. For those cases there are quite a few things that I'd like it to memorize, like programming library preferences ("When working with dates prefer `date-fns` over

Even if every single person that is aware of how problematic Chrome's dominance is would switch to Firefox right now, that wouldn't move the needle in any measurable way. When it comes to quasi-monopolies like this, the "prob

As some popular libraries begin being authored in Rust (e.g. Polars), I'm wondering whether that could actually be exploited in this approach, by e.g. shipping the "native" libraries as WASM components that can then be called

I think YC can say/do that, as with the YC stamp of approval you are already on the A-tier track of VCs. So for their portfolio companies having a shoddy product will be the main reason of not getting follow up funding. Meanwhile, if y

While the people behind this website were indeed caught in Germany, providers of similar popular streaming piracy sites (kinox.to and movie4k.to) have/had warrants out for them internationally as well as house searches all over Europe.

React popularized it, and in its context having self-closing tags on React elements to indicate leaf nodes makes a lot of sense. Prettier just went with that and also does it for HTML. I'm wondering why you are so triggered by that iss

The documentation puts a lot of emphasis on loading/querying existing files, as that's the first thing you will want to do for a OLAP use-case, but in general it's the same as sqlite where you maintain a database file.

`pnpm create vite` is one of the modern alternatives of `create-react-app`, which isn't maintained anymore. It fills the exact same role as `rails new $app` does of scaffolding a project, which apparently is a hallmark of a framework.

But when you initially setup a React project, do you write the code that bootstraps the application? Or do you just run (`pnpm create vite` +) `pnpm run dev` and the application figures out what to load, and starts the application for you?
