(I found another error in my post, but I can no longer edit it: I don't dislike design. I misread that on proofreading and edited it, silly me.)

Gee, people, let's chill out for a bit. There's so much anger here that I think my eyebrows were scorched by all the comments. If the previous comments are any indication, you might not want to read my comment if this email client means the

Oh, I didn't mean to say that I need to write something in assembly or C per se - I've done some Python programming on an embedded interpreter, too. My point is that I like to stick close to the hardware. I agree with your other point, th

Fair enough. I can't promise I'll stop reading HN (I probably won't), but do you have any recommendations for other websites that cover more hardware-based solutions? (I do read Hackaday, but that doesn't exactly count, although it someti

I'm not sure whether that would qualify as a startup. The Raspberry Pi Foundation is, after all, a charity. But, your point still stands, because I have to admit that if they tried to make money from it, they could.

Why? People who don't get jobs because of their gender is a big issue. Why, of all problems, is this a big issue? In my not so humble opinion, people are simply looking for something to complain about. If there were a supposedly man-degra

I'm quite certain this would be one of those things people would be uncomfortable with for a few months - a year, tops. Then they get used to it.

I'm unfamiliar with many of these certificates, but is there any reason such 'scamware' woudln't be able to get one even though it costs money? Because, if they still can, they the whole certification business definitely seems like a big sc

At first I thought he meant something similar to Tesla's idea of building a ring around the earth and the blowing away the pillars. Yet I can't seem to find anything about his 'hyperloop' of sorts.

"Just because we used to do something does not mean it's the most effective way to do it." True, but the fact that we used to do it also doesn't mean that it must be broken. I doubt many of would be better programmers if we had a more child
