I built my first site in Vue over the past few weeks and found myself with the same conclusion. But I had to build it the "wrong" way first before I realized how much easier the code is to write using the sub-components.

Yeah, that's what it means (to delete the app from your Facebook). I also got that warning but I ignored it and clicked through anyways. Confirmed that my Spotify account is still working via email/password login.

Wow, just confirmed this works. I can now log in to Spotify via email/password. Thanks for this! The only caveat is you will need to re-sign in to every device where you are currently signed in via FB.

This sounds like very actionable advice. Thanks for sharing the info, it's very helpful.

Care to expand on the Sublime plugins? I use Sublime for notes but store them as plain text files. My other favorite Sublime feature is it persists unsaved tabs through app restarts and system restarts thereby giving me the effect of holdin

I love LINQPad. This tool alone is a huge reason why I have a problem using my Macbook for .NET development.

Personally, I think this is great news given the investment Microsoft has made in hosting their open source projects on GitHub. I'm heavily invested in the Microsoft stack so I'm kind of excited to see where they take this. Also,

Anvil is pretty sweet and had a well reviewed Show HN post a few months ago. Price is a little steep unless you plan to get serious, quickly.

Any idea about required VS versions? The announcement makes no mention of Visual Studio (or maybe I missed it?) but the download pages says it requires a preview version of VS2017 which is unfortunate.

Am I the only one who thought this post title meant jobs at companies that simply don't use whiteboards in the day-to-day aspect of working?

I'm from near Pittsburgh and I'd hardly call this a custom. It's just what you do when you're in a hurry and have pole-position in the turning lane...

Initially it took me entirely too long to determine the right config options to launch BC as the diff and merge tool. It's preposterous to be that difficult.

I'd still replace the battery regardless of what they tell you. Apple once told me I had a good battery even though my phone would randomly shut off and attaching to a charger was the only solution to get the phone to turn on. Thankful

There seem to be an abundance of "openings" but a shortage of offers. At least that's if you believe the whining on boards like here, Reddit, etc.

I'm interested as well. 2012/2013ish I was a consultant at Org A that deemed themselves "agile" - in reality a very highly functional agile organization. I've yet to see anything quite like what that org had going f

Office 365 is the closest I've experienced. I actually kinda like it. My biggest use-case is wider spread documentation that is inappropriate to distribute as an attachment.

I'm abominable with conclusions in emails and personally feel like they are a waste (majority of the time). I know it's something I should probably be better at, but often I just finish my thought(s) and hit send.
