I assume they would probably still _attempt_ to limit the amount of total liquid. But the idea that terrorists can bypass a chemical bomb detector but not figure out a way around the amount of liquid limit is laughable.

Just FYI, they tested the liquid in question for explosives and of course it turned up negative (as can be seen near the end of the video). Would requiring a doctor's note or more explanation really make any of us safer. I'm sure the terr

For those who don't know, it was Dyn. I personally liked the email. While sendgrid was down we were running around like a chicken with its head cut off trying to find a replacement. We started setting up postmark but didn't get it up bef

And where do you get your Bitcoin address from? Options are: from the official client (many reasons for and against running it), one of the other hosted or local Bitcoin wallets, or Coinbase. Coinbase is an attractive option as it's extre

A VPN that shares IPs between many users won't have that issue. You'll have hundreds of users using an IP at the same time as well as thousands over the period of a day.

Even with all these tools the oldest form of tracking will still work perfectly, your IP address. Use a VPN as well as these tools if you really take your privacy seriously.

You may want to integrate some of the advice from here in your HSTS section: http://coderrr.wordpress.com/2010/12/27/canonical-redirect-p... It seems even github is susceptible to this. That is, for people who type www.github.com into th

The majority of legitimate people running Bitcoin related services are of a very fringe type. It will probably remain this way for a while. This is because there is so much risk involved. Not just risk of currency or business failure, bu

This isn't entirely related but I'd be interested if anyone knows the tax implications of _spending_ bitcoins. What happens if you receive bitcoins when they're worth 10 USD and then spend them when they're worth 20 USD. What tax rules ap

I believe the way longest chain is determined is the sum of the difficulty of all the blocks. This basically boils down to just the chain with the most cpu power that went into it. So as long as you control the majority of the cpu power,

You're thinking of the wrong scenario. If you have 51% of the power you start mining a new block off the latest legit block but you include 0 or no "real" transactions in it. After you find one, you only compute new blocks off of _your_ "
