Eating the big fish is one great book about competing with a market leader. You're talking like go to market is rocket science. Anyone can read a book and follow the steps. Many don't.

That applies to new products not clones. AI can also help with that thanks.

Software engineers, who are the most skilled in terms of holding ai's hand to create a product, should be cloning every single saas out there and making money by eating a share of the market. AI is a great way for engineers to become f

Search engines are up to date. I can search something that happened today. LLMs are several years behind. Until that's fixed i think we'll still be using the once very useful search engines

Yeah I'm not with OP either. The write-up is clearly marketing for their site. However buying domains that others might need is not very nice.

You have to admit though that scraping Github for project names and buying the domains is a sleazy way of making money

Apple (at least current leadership) is programmatically degrading it's products so people would buy a new one. Who expects anything good from such a team.

It's all true but I'm surprised it took so long to realize this. As someone who is not an early adopter, I decided to give AI a shot in helping with an existing project a few days ago. I immediately realized almost everything ment

I think Tim Cook should be changed. Wasn't he the one who had software that made older iPhones run slower so that people would buy new ones, then publicly lost that lawsuit which confirms they did it in bad faith, and then stayed CEO.

I'm not a big fan of Apple, but this has to be the sleaziest marketing technique. Poor product. Poor marketing. Founders stuck in 2010.

True I understand that. Digital plumbing is not a lesser thing. It's part of the job. Software engineering is done better when being "pampered" regardless if it's plumbing or rocket science. If companies want to stop pam

I haven't but I believe that if it makes them better at their job they would be treated so. most plumbers are independent freelancers and for them that's a rock star way to live

The tech industry is based on copying the cool kids. Once Google and Meta started laying off, startups started laying off random people because it was cool. When Apple created the worst keyboard on earth (the arrow buttons squished together

You're making it sound like plumbers are a lesser thing. You sound like you're one of those people who compare what AI does to what human junior engineers do or should be treated like (which is surprisingly a lot of people here on

Flutter and Kotlin Multiplatform are two different frameworks. Flutter is mainly for cross platform UI. KM is mainly for common-core (or common business logic). My point still stands that these are all bloated and ugly. Google products are

Apple and Google need to talk. They need to collaborate on something truly native to put an end to these bloated frameworks. My goodness the amount of engineering work being put into terrible mobile experiences is worse than how much Nasa i

This is what happens when you hire leet code engineers and they become managers. Look at Google now. This isn't some magical outcome of big corps. A big corp is practically the people who work there.
