Defining the goal is the easy part: as I said in my OP, the goal is unit tests passing. It’s the other weights that are harder. You might want execution speed to be one metric. But how do you add weights to prevent cheating (eg hardcoding t

It’s basically called “reinforced learning” and it’s a common technique for machine learning. You provide a goal as a big reward (eg test passing), and smaller rewards for any particular behaviours you want to encourage, and then leave the

Terrible advice. Different languages excel at different things. There shouldn’t be a “one size fits all” otherwise we’d be writing software in FORTRAN and assembly. And designing a language is a good exercise if purely from an academic pers

Cost want my point. It’s that if you have skills then people will call upon them. I’m also not making a point about whether that’s a good or a bad thing, before you make that assumption too

Unfortunately buying closed systems hasn’t stopped me from being IT support: - “why can’t I play online with EA Sports?” - “I can’t log into Roblox!” - “why can’t I see my sisters world in Minecraft?” - “I’ve lost my Fortnight skins!” - “wh

There’s quite a few Tectoy ports of Sega games that were Genesis only everywhere else. Including games like Sonic Spinball. The ironic thing is while Tectoy kept making MS games because it was cheap, those games now go for a small fortune (

Also Facebook feeds weren’t even a feature back before Twitter was around. Zuckerberg added it to compete with Twitter. So you couldn’t even access “public feeds” in the mid-00s because no such thing existed.

Any terminal app can be an “ssh app”. There isn’t really a distinction.
