My guess is that there would be no pilots. Given they are attempting to get rid of drivers, getting rid of pilots in VTOL seems like an easier proposition with a large added weight advantage.

I think you will need a citation for "one of the chief motivating factors behind crypto currency adoption has the idea of being able to avoid things like carbon taxes and energy quotas". The chief motivating factor is a fair econo

I think that may have the opposite effect. If consumers are willing to spend less, then the practices used to produce those things are necessarily going to need to be cheaper. This means that they will use dirtier means as a necessity.

It isn't really crypto specific. It is energy producing utility economics. If we had a price on carbon it would effect this equilibrium everywhere. If you accept that we have to change, and sooner rather than later due to inevitability

Liquidity comes in degree as does money stock. Sure, it isn't narrow money, but still relevant to your point which you so carefully misrepresent. Median confirmation time has never exceeded 29 minutes, and is around 15 minutes. Transac

No, I am suggesting that the only problem here is accounting. If you have a price on carbon, the rest will sort itself out. The lack of this cost being accounted for creates the false equilibrium where we plunder the environment to efficien

I fail to see your point here. I'm not sure how much clearer I can be. "proof-of-work mining generates greenhouse-effect negative externalities" is incorrect. Power production creates these externalities, and they are unaccou

You are focusing on the wrong thing. Energy production is the issue, not energy use. There is an equilibrium to be found in the free market based on the value of BTC that is provided and the economic expenditure to mine it with the cost of

A nuclear power plant will take 10 years to come online, and will last for about 50 years. You then have the transmission problems, toxic waste problem and risks. I'm willing to largely ignore the toxic waste and risks because they are

Nuclear was a fantastic solution, then we wasted a lot of time, and they take a long time to come online, and renewables got a lot better. If it makes sense then go for it, but I doubt it makes sense any more.

If you buy Bitcoin, you still have that much Bitcoin at the end of the week. I think you are referring to exchange rates. Your money is still subject to exchange rate variation on a daily basis.
