This might be a naive question but why would you use Intercom with a Zendesk integration when Zendesk already has a chat functionality? I would assume one either uses Zendesk as a suite for a larger setup or just Intercom for a smaller setu

Thank you for licensing this under a proper open source license. Out of curiosity, how would you feel about a company selling this as a service? It's obviously legal per the license, but I'm wondering what your perspective is. If

Have you ever set it up? If so, how complicated was it to get it to work?

Everyone running their own tile servers is in theory a good idea, but in practice (at least last time I looked) it’s a nightmare to set up. If they want to push people in that direction, they could learn something from “certbot” from LetsEn

If we're just going to make up loosely related metaphors, here's another one: it's like posting a car review composed of nothing but accelerating the car on a highway. You consider these videos fantasy, for others they may

My point being that since this is not an insignificant amount of work, it's odd that it's so often omitted. I've seen many videos like this but I've never seen it mentioned at all.

That's fine, but it doesn't give any information on all the other questions around what needs to be done before you start hammering away on your log cabin.

The point of my comment was not to ask how to do it, it was an observation that these presumably important steps are almost never mentioned in these types of videos.

Both a "Friggebod" and an "Attefallshus" requires the building to be built on "a land lot with a single-family or a duplex house", as you mention, which hardly applies for a house built in the middle of the for

Ok, but does being exempt from building codes mean you have the freedom to fell trees in the forest and build a house with them? What if you sell the lumber? Presumably the land is owned by someone, regardless of how remote it is. If you ow

> no environmental impact How do you know if you don't bother to look it up? Many countries have national parks and entire areas where any "modification" to nature is illegal.

I never said it's "hard", I said it's glanced over, i.e. never mentioned in these types of videos despite it being (I assume) something that requires a not insignificant amount of time. And no, I don't expect it to

One thing that always seems to be missing from these videos (in general, because there are many of them) is step 0: how do you go about acquiring the land and the permission to build a log cabin on this land? I can't imagine that there

I agree with everything you just said, but why can't it be both? It seems to me like a knee-jerk reaction to disparage small, symbolic changes like this because there's more important change that should happen instead. This implie

Then don't enforce it and charge for it. As for your second point it's just so far off topic I won't warrant it with a response. I never even insinuated that the US is a model country.

Obviously the current legislation is made with current circumstances in mind. If tourists can't get financial aid for college there's no reason these hypothetical renters must.

By that logic you shouldn't allow tourists either, as far as I know they don't pay for emergency services, or most of the roads, or whatever else public costs there are. (And in addition, nothing is stopping you from charging them

Not really on topic but I've never understood why a country like the US, with the underlying ideology being what it is, wouldn't allow anyone in the world to live in the US as long as they don't use any social services. For e

I'm not sure what you mean, how are you supposed to e-mail forward from a Google account that has been suspended? And if you're talking about owning your own domain, that's exactly what I meant.

I do this and I agree. It's bad enough that you lose any emails or other media you didn't back up, but it's even worse if you went around for the past X years passing around Google's domain for your email, because that&#
