This is the main reason I stayed away from medication for 12 years. That is until 3 weeks ago. I decided late 2017, after a major depressive episode, that I needed to get help after 12 years of dealing with this depression. I kept thinking

My main problem with this study is that it's only in the Bay Area. I live in Ohio, and I've actually found Waze to be MUCH better. I tend to be at my destination before my estimated time, unlike what this article describes. This m

From his writing, it doesn't sound like he's angry, just sharing what he got from using the site.

Definitely looking for a solution. I actually loved Lanier's "You Are Not A Gadget", it was the first deep dive of technology philosophy that I've ever read, and was definitely worth finishing. I'll definitely check

Not sure if it was intentional, but Crichton here uses the same Pollan metaphor that Johnson makes in his book, The Information Diet. In fact the tagline is right on his site: http://informationdiet.com/ I just got finished

This is kind of what I'm thinking. I have anxiety issues that I take meds for. This doesn't seem like something that would work for me.

I guess I should have clarified, I didn't want to sound snarky while asking what the benefit would be, I'm actually curious.

Huh. This is an interesting concept. The homepage talks about CS concepts being "separated from the distractions and technical details of having to use computers", and that is definitely a key factor for us. Thank you!

This was helpful and enlightening. We have kids that we're planning on homeschooling. Finding curriculum or even good information on how to introduce technology to kids in a meaningful seems difficult.

This is my concern with buying anything like this, or even using languages like Scratch. I learned by using a computer with the languages that exist for production software and web applications. The biggest thing for me is, how do we teach

I had never heard of this until I saw it at the end of this article. That picture made me so uncomfortable. Atwood's MaddAddam trilogy came to mind. However, this technology seems like a really great step forward.

I think this year we will see more therapeutic apps that deal with mental illness. I also think, that this is just a simple beginning and that we'll see bigger and better apps, maybe even this one will greatly improve with time.

This reminds me of another app I saw recently, Calm Harm ( https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/calm-harm/id961611581?mt=8 ). At first I thought that was a strange approach, but as I looked through the screenshots,

These seem to be more about how to read poetry and literature critically. I guess I'm looking more along the lines cutting back how much information I take in, and choosing better what information to take in.

Congrat Bootstrap team! I have been really impressed with Bootstrap 4. I've been updating our site with each beta release. Glad that there are no breaking changes between beta 3 and stable as promised!

I'm actually excited to see how this project turns out. I used to play these little text RPGs on my dad's Blackberry, and this kind of reminds me of those. I'd love to see a full game of this.
