Yep.. and if you can't find anyone, you can hire someone from eastern europe to do it for under $1K. I've always had horrible results outsourcing dev work, but outsourcing design seems to work just fine.

My feelings mirror yours... I'm actually building a product that I hope can help re-introduce some spontaneity in people's online interactions, as they journey through the web. Still very early stage though: http://getmetaweb.com Here's a

Used to make me want to tear my hair out... But I've moved to using linqpad and writing the queries in linq now, and it's not too bad. http://stackoverflow.com/questions/7303333/are-adhoc-queries...

Seems it defaults to 1 star if you don't remember to rate a website? If so, that will drag down the ratings. I already forgot to rate a couple. Nice work!

I like it! Can you make a version for startup ideas, instead of websites? Keep everything else exactly the same. Then add leaderboards, scores, etc. So many discussions here about startups, I feel like we have enough aggregate brainpower to

I've also only seen it from some EE girls I've dated. It's really odd isn't. It drove me insane initially. I guess they'd argue it reduces typing time by 50%!

One thing in that list I'm pretty sure they won't deliver is superior reliability. You can argue the tech has some reliability advantages, but I'm guessing it will take a decade or so to match the incumbents in all-around reliability, seein

I wonder if a slow-down or plateau-ing of technological advancement would make us focus more on cultural/philosophical advancements that improve: average happiness per-person per-"day lived". That would be an interesting paradigm shift... .

Don't think you are understanding what I am suggesting. If you know the movement of the phone, you can determine which direction of movement causes the largest increase in signal strength change. So the app would be basically doing what you

Still not sure why any of this would add cost. it all happens on the iphone which already has these sensors. If you can tell in which direction the iphone is moving thanks to gyro/magno/accelo AND you have a distance from BT device of reaso

Yeah, but the gyro/accelerometer could provide short movement measurements, no? IF you combine that with the distance measurement you get from the BT device, you should be able to figure out the direction to the BT device?

Regarding: 1:25... They should be able to use the gyro/accelerometer to give their radar 'direction' as well no? You would just need to move around slightly for it to combine the data with the BT signal distance. Guess it depends on the BT

Both the idea, and how fast it all came together, is awesome. Great job! I wonder what twitter's reaction will be if this keeps growing, considering all the recent talk about them being hostile towards people making the most out of their AP

Yeah. People seem to forget that MS has a larger share of the search market than Apple does of the PC market. And search has given the market leader (Google) a 200bn+ market cap! So not exactly throwing money down the drain.
