Slightly off topic, but I like what they have done with the site design. Would look more homogenic across platforms when viewed in the browser. Of course there is more space on desktops to display more stuff which should be utilised. This,

I think what we should understand is corporate tries really hard to be socially acceptable (some of the ways are marketing themselves as champions of women rights, equal opportunities, LGBT community supporters). It is up to them as to what

Did you switch over to insertion sort once the stack became more manageable? Personally, I would have used radix sort, while keeping the stack size manageable. This would mean less comparisons, manageable desk space and less effort. Plus se

Agreed, with people at twitter, facebook and all other places constantly coming up with more and more JS libraries, there is enough evidence that the existing ones are insufficient at some level. And even if they weren't, having choices is

The cool quotient, in this case, is not governed by the amount of money you make later but by the satisfaction, excitement and thrill of risk associated with working in a startup. Not to forget, more often than not you also tend to learn a

Even this becomes annoying when you have to wait for the page to load to see it's content and is heavy but not media content heavy. Something like Google+ or coursera pages.

Whatever happened to Google's Don't be evil! May be the effect died long back with all the law-suites against them. Just nitpicking but the author is adding percentages when they clearly should not be.

Some stats! Obvious fact: The numbers are roughly proportional. The same crowd come to drudge report on a daily basis without fail . Might look to be overly ambitious claim but the reality might not be far from it.

This were precisely my first thoughts about the overhaul. But you'd have to agree that the newer layout definitely looks refreshing on all platforms except at Google where people took some time to come to terms with the changes.

TL;DR Would it not be great that we change the branch prediction implementation to switch on/off automatically(with every new process)? This would be difficult to trace or even implement but I'm just guessing. The CPU stops using branch pr

I don't advocate any philosophical comments or endorse one. People, often in a blog, write stuff from their experience (or experiences of people around him) which might or might not apply to all or even a single individual author but worked

Like the author notes, I don't think the problem was with Google. It was no fault of theirs. The reason: It's a fine line between maintaining privacy policies and managing such events. If google were storing/caching these links, there would

Well, do be really honest, I don't think there is much choice in the matter. With search engines and people focusing so much on personalization google would be left far behind if it doesn't have the friends' data to recommend you some place

I might be attracting a lot of heat towards me but can somebody post something similar about emacs as well. I had seen one of my friend doing it once but it didn't work very well and I was pretty unfamiliar to linux at that point of time.
