Why do these conversations inevitably move into insults? As soon as humans get into the subject of belief, someone always says something like “it’s just switching to more fruitful avenues.” If something works for you, that’s great. But why

$100 is a good budget - you will have a lot of choice. For around $100 you could get a good quality octagon shaped wooden board with wooden discs and powder. Avoid plastic - it’s a totally different game and I don’t think it’s as much fun.

Yes, you mentioned it complete with a distasteful apology. But you’re still minimizing something very dangerous with a totally contrived example. Don’t do that - we have a large immigrant population and they deserve better.

There is a tremendous amount of misinformation in this. 1.) When meteorologists say it will be dangerous, it is either cold enough for exposed skin to freeze or very slippery. Both of those situations are dangerous. 2.)Help is not readily a

That’s a good article. I found this one: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/L-8 The L-8/Ghost Blimp took off with a crew of two from San Francisco in 1942. They found an oil slick (which was the last time either crew

I had a major heart scare when I was 39 so I’m quite obsessed with my blood pressure. This is anecdata based off of my own experience with my heart, brain and body. (Note that this is based off of someone capable of developing a heart probl

When my heart went to hell, I bought a blood pressure monitor. Before I left the hospital, I had to agree to religiously test my blood pressure three times a day at the exact same time. Anything beyond that was a bonus, but to provide usefu

Hey friend, sorry for taking so long to reply. Less than half is still really good, as the other commenter mentioned, try giving more lead time. I think we’re kind of similar in that we are people who invite people places. That is our role.

Saying nothing is always an option. It’s too bad that Automattic won’t consider that option because over the last 24 hours this has gone from embarrassing to nasty. I didn’t expect a supply chain attack yesterday. And sure didn’t expect Mul

Do you actually believe that the United States should permit a monopoly because it “enables the US to suffocate the tech efforts of other countries”? You would rather ruin everyone else than have a functional economy? That says a lot about

I haven’t participated in this conversation since Kerplunk was released! San Francisco punk was always a little different but Green Day was part of the late 80s/early 90s punk scene in the Bay Area. It was all centered around 924 Gilma

Everyone already said that about punk. We know it’s not Bach, but it’s not meant to be. It’s punk music - it’s not meant to be impressive musically.
