I don’t know, it probably would have been useful if Cyberdyne Systems had developed its AI in space?

Interesting, the main and probably only reason I know this is a legitimate site and not some random person's blog post is because I heard about Frommers from the movie Eurotrip.

I’m curious if anybody has run this through any AI engine to extract out people and contexts. I’m a little curious to try this with Claude.

Damned if they do, damned if they don’t. Initially they didn’t have it, people complained, now they do, and people still complain.

MacBooks have been using remotes since at least 2005. There was a cinema app on there you could use to watch movies and use the remote to control it. I think you could use it with Keynote when it first came out too.

This is a really cool idea. I’m a little put off with the idea that my camera is always watching me but the thought behind it is really cool.

I've been using Fastmail for several years now, I remember when I first said something about it on here I got a negative response about how Fastmail doesn't do something correctly or something, and now most of the comment replies

Seems like the U.S. uses metric for most of the important areas and just lets everyone continue to use imperial, whatever they want everywhere else.

Meh. I was a Mootools connoisseur back in the day and saddened how jQuery became more popular. I’m glad JavaScript has evolved to the point we don’t need jQuery anymore.

I had the UltraSharp 40” similar to this, I loved it until I went to readjust it, apparently tilted it wrong, and the screen blanked. :(

Yeah, I realized recently you have to be more intentional for things you want. You don’t necessarily have to host it but you need to reach out and find things going on where there are people.

I had similar experiences playing the computer in Tzar: Burden of the Crown. It’s not chess but it is a strategy game. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tzar%3A_The_Burden_of_the_Crow...

I use it a lot of scaffolding and when there’s a lot of bulk creation or editing to do. A lot of the busy work that normally would take awhile to do but doesn’t really require deep knowledge.

I really don't like web site designs that take control of things like my mouse wheel. This site isn't just scrolling down, it's advancing the presentation which in most places is moving down.

it-tools is one I use often and have setup locally. I like that prism.tools seems to be 100% static, so it doesn't require node to run like it-tools but I would imagine there's probably some tasks it couldn't do.

I believe I was trying it the other way around. I installed uv and python with mise but uv still created a .python_version file and using the one installed in the system instead of what was in mise

It’s fast because it sucks the life force from bad developers to make them into something good. Jokes aside… I really like uv but also really like mise and I cannot seem to get them to work well together.
