datalist is one I stumbled upon and blew me away. https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/HTML/Element/da... It's not a replacement for select as you still need an input to tie it to but i

It's a minor thing but I would remove the jQuery dependency. You're not doing much with that plain javascript couldn't do just as well if not better. Plain JS has come a long way since jQuery first came out.

My understanding is that it keeps everyone connected. Like, you as a family member may be a caregiver or you may have a nurse or someone else as a caregiver and it can help keep family, caregiver, the person being cared for all in the know

I wouldn't worry too much about what a lot of the comments are saying. I would heed some of the advice about being secure but I wouldn't worry too much about it being a problem or shutting down the app until you have it worked out

I had something similar happen to me, not threaten with expulsion and I kind of deserved it. This was back in late 1990s, a group I was part of was getting a web site made on the school pages and I wanted to contribute. I ran my mouth about

I understand the basics of flexbox. The part that gets me is when I start putting pieces together and nesting divs and flex box items.

I’m curious on others thoughts on whether or not to use Devise? With the recent Rails updates, even in Rails 7, Devise didn’t seem that useful and seemed to over complicate the user authentication, registration, lost password experience and

JetBrains Mono That's actually what I use and thinking before I even started it. It seemed like a lot of the fonts were sort of dim looking. I like the brighter font because it makes it easier to read.

I don’t believe it’s the cable as much as the charging brick that is causing that. I have that issue with a MacBook Pro, using the Apple provided cable plugged into a usb-c port on my power strip. If I use the power brick, it charges fine.

I thought this was going to be about the remote app you can use to control the Apple TV. I noticed over Christmas it had channel up/down arrows for switching channels.

Partly true but I don't think they would (or should) just ax those departments. By merging those departments will be taking on more work too, so they will not need everyone but they will likely let some people go.

This is just anecdotal but I have found anytime a network interface is involved, it can slow down the deployment. I had a case where I was deleting lambdas in a VPC, and connected to EFS, that the deployment was rather quick but it took ~20

I think the biggest issue is that nobody can settle on what to use and how to use it. pip, pdm, poetry, and maybe something else I don’t know about. Some new flashy dependency manager comes along and that’s the new hotness. I'm probabl

This is interesting. I suppose if you wanted to setup your Jekyll data relationally, this would make it simpler to pull a simple list of the combined data. I wonder if DuckDB would make it easier to do this same thing and use the existing J
