For an article so certain about ethics, it ironically undercuts its own ethos: https://tedium.co/what-is-tedium/ > If you like strange and unusual descriptions of common things, explained in extreme depth, the Tediu

Agreed. "Vetting" is real, painstaking work and online mobs are atrocious at it. They project, fabulate, distort and lie to stir up a moment's self-righteous anger, regardless of actual, grounded truth. This is obviously tr

That’s a good observation about position. For those curious, the original (and arguably representative) Bluesky user said: > “I want to be extremely clear I was not making a death threat or inciting violence,” he told me, saying that he

Your links are off-base. They're from September 2015, which is months after Andre Arko was told to revise the /teams page. Since no /teams page was archived before March 2015, here's the Github commit of the overly vague

Do you have links on people’s experience with the fatigue curve? I’ve heard of “hard to learn, easy to forget” but I haven’t seen people document it for career reasons.

Eh, it's a messy write-up. The article's stream of consciousness is hard to follow. Too much detail in some areas, not enough in others. It's true Ruby Central was a fiasco and the maintainers should have been treated better.

I don't see LadyBird's dev endorsing white replacement theory in your links. Rather, I see innuendo and hearsay from extremely online people, with a rather exclusionary sense of politics.

Agreed. The leaders of Zig should stop bringing up competitors unless specifically relevant. The RESF became unbearable because Rust leaders quietly encouraged language wars online, and especially offline. Zig should avoid that fate.

I think this blogpost misses a few things. A lack of agency feels like just one specific reason why some people have had negative interactions with the author over the technology he leads. I sense deeper reasons, maybe less tidy ones.
