Is HN also going to have a weekly anti-anti-vax post too? We're converting to Reddit format right? ..a place where we can all pretend we understand this stuff, suddenly manifesting degrees in medicine and/or a full understanding o

I read the entire comment, the initial point about the title being misleading irked me. There was nothing misleading about it, it accurately conveyed what happened. IMHO we're beyond the point where micro-debating the various ins and o

Humanity is a great thing. Laws are simplified ideas, that can be both helpful or oppressive. Small minded people are generally attracted to this kind of power, so we get far too much of the later.

as a long time proponent of BTC, this is the first time I'm truly worried. Not that I think GH will do anything 'dodgy', just that it's actually happened and that's not a good thing at all. GH just did a great job

No - I would not have posted that - you can go through my history if you like to get an idea of who I am. If they had disapproved it I would have 'mildly' curious as to why. That's an 'Ad hominem' argument, you'

If you're OP: Dude stop posting, deleting, changing, and then re-deleting your comments. You are making valid points, there's no need to do this, even if I don't agree with you, these are valid points.

This whole conversation has been immensely helpful to me, certainly the comment: "respect the scale of what's at stake, have the temerity to express doubt, possess the common sense to consider their observations, and ask questions

My apologies. I conveyed the meaning as best as I could, those who 'felt' the concept where able to forgive the obvious inaccuracies inherent in any statement such as that. Also there is an average IQ (though a poor metric). The a

It's so refreshing to know that there are other people applying (what I previously assumed was ubiquitous) common sense rationale to these issues. What's frightening is how far and wide you need to search to find comments like you

Nope, I do not - because I'm not a scientist, I don't participate in large scale assessments of these products, and I'm not trained in the field. You are correct: My argument (as clearly stated) is based on lack of trust. Whi
