Price discrimination is when you charge different amounts for the same thing to different customers. And usually the difference in those prices are not made apparent. Like when travel websites quote iOS users more than Android because they

I assume it’s to discourage people from architecting designs that abuse the network. A good example would be collecting every single metric, every second, across every instance for no real business reason.

Latest rebranding of “sysadmin”, which became “devops engineer” or SRE a decade ago. It’s the people who shove kubernetes, datadog, and CI/CD tools into every corner.

Luau [1] developed by Roblox is a backwards-compatible fork of Lua 5.1 with some very significant improvements to speed and QoL [2]. It also mostly alleviates the nil-terminated array problem. [1] https://github.com/luau-lan

Clickhouse's revised JSON type is still quite new (in beta currently), but I'm hopeful for it. Their first attempt fell apart if the schema changed. [1] https://clickhouse.com/blog/a-new-powerful-json-data-typ

When I was 13 I had a paper route and mowed lawns, and with those earnings I spent about $75 per month on video games and comic books, easily exceeding $500 over a year.
