He basically gets a spot in the family business which he uses as a launchpad to creating a SaaS product. Come on, this title is so far off from reality. No problem with what he did and it sounds like he does a great job, but let's at l

Thanks Dad. You realize that for every single bad thing that happens there are always additional steps that could have been taken to prevent it? Unfortunately there is a trade-off most people make between living their life and prepping for

This has to be the greatest logo I've seen in a while. Did you create it yourself and if so what did you use?

I find that people who sit in the greys tend to be very worried about their public perception or have very little passion beyond maintaining personal comfort. The people I look for are those that take strong stands but are willing and able

Can you point to any evidence that people enjoy being down voted without an explanation? Clearly the fact that there has to be two entries in a fairly short comment guidelines points to the reality that many people have expressed that they

By "most of us" who exactly are you referring to? I wasn't aware there was some kind of user survey etc that was used to determine that stuff. I thought one person just added that to the bottom of the comments guidelines. Was

Anonymous downvoting is pretty popular around here. I agree it's a very rude thing to do. Also, just an FYI, I was scolded the other day for acknowledging the downvoting in an edit. Edit: case and point

I think Docker can somewhat be seen as a generalized term like Linux. Linux doesn't write EXT4 but it is often referred to as "Linux filesystem". Docker has been actively trying to become to household brand name for container

As long as it does not deviate into getting really creative with the spec, keeping everything consistent is overrated in my opinion. There are the exceptions of very widely used projects where contributors will only look at the code a coupl

That is one disadvantage. If you bothered to read the rest of my comments you would see that I said it depends on your use case. If you just need a basic website you are much better off using a site builder than wasting quite possibly 1000s

Sure, you need to support legacy software that is so junky you have no way to migrate off the platform. You're trapped in the dump. Even more reason to avoid WordPress and not get trapped in your situation.
