Let say it's not and that it's just some individuals behaviours, in a relatively good company culture.

What are good methods to fight bullshit at work? Conversely, what are the bad methods to fight bullshit at work? EDIT: Let say it's not in the company DNA and that it's just some individuals behaviours.

Got a bunch of real questions: do you know if VR is growing? Does people like the experience? How long are the user sessions?

I've a theory about that too. If you take a software development project, 80% of the stuff takes 20% of the time and 20% of stuff takes 80% of the time. Let's call the former noise and the latter the bottlenecks. A beginner estima

> VR will flounder To second your arguments, from a pure business perspective, VR would be already growing its user base and showing pretty nice retention rate if it was any close to be something people really want.

So yeah, it seems there is a recurring mistake / misunderstanding, you are not the only one. Two programs that have different performances for a given task for example do not do the same thing. Two programs do the same thing when the

Thanks for your feedback. > Sometimes, spelling things out in a slightly more verbose way is better than using some slick one-liner. I think you may have missed some details here. First, the code must be non-obfuscated. Here is the trick

Greater means anything that you can think of that would be greater for a program. For example, it would be faster. It would be more maintainable. It would be more everything . We ultimately don't have to prove it. We only have to agre

Thank you. Also, I think we need a simple theorem that works with what average programmers understand easily. This is why I called it the Common Fundamental Theorem.

For some software, higher performance is more valuable than fewer lines of code. I suggest you re-read the lemma. The point is about having fewer lines of code for what the program is supposed to do . For example, one could probably not

I have a theory: I think the coding skills of a programmer are function of the number of programs he's written - from scratch .

At my own surprise, I now often blame the developer (the team and me) and not the business, in such a situation. There is 2 reasons: 1. You can develop 10x faster than what you think. Learn functional programming and more importantly, learn
