Data that is publicly available also can't be stolen or leaked. Nobody can steal Mozilla's common voice dataset.

Whether it's AI or not, the process is flawed and not giving their customers an avenue for having a human review their case is just a shitty business practice. The article is just a warning to not put all our eggs in Amazon's bask

Sounds like the solution is for legitimate services to move away from Cloudflare. They contribute to the single point of failure by remaining their customers.

Anyone still using Kindle after Amazon removed 1984, of all books, remotely from their devices only has themselves to blame.

Awesome. I always felt Linux was missing a per-application firewall. I didn't dig much into it but at least iptables didn't have rules for that when I looked.

One more use case for Axios is it automatically follows redirects, forwarding headers, and more importantly, omiting or rewriting the headers that shouldn't be forwarded for security reasons.

In vim? Ctrl+v, 8, j, shift+i, add the text, Esc. Which works if you need to edit several aligned lines in a row. The one thing I'm missing is putting the cursors on the next found position of a search term which would make it much mor

Does Itch have a CLI for installing the games? From Heroic's FAQ, that's the first step for adding support to the store. https://github.com/Heroic-Games-Launcher/HeroicGamesLauncher... Not exactly first class

I used a plugin in mpv to do it but I can't find it anymore. You just pressed a key to mark the start and end. And with . and , you could do it at keyframe resolution not just seconds.

Allowing trading is a big part of it. Most online games never allow trading the things bought with real money, they get tied to your account. I guess as a way to prevent CC fraud but it still contributes to the issue.

The article says the LLM has to load 15540 tokens every time, I wonder if that can be reduced while retaining the context maybe with deduplications, removing superfluous words, using shorter expressions with the same meaning or things like
