Above I linked to a blog post Jetbrains put out on March 3rd, on Sunday. It details the vulnerability. March 3rd is before March 4th, so it seems they did not silently patch anything but published the patch and details concurrently.

Rapid7 reported the vulnerabilities mid-Feb. Jetbrains turned around with patches about 2 weeks later, and published them yesterday. The CVE was literally created yesterday. Isn't it a bit premature to claim "silence"?

Any basis for this statement? Having been through multiple pentests I have never seen any clause like that in a contract. Given the commoditized nature of security vendors these days, I would be surprised to see such an anti-customer clause

Is it just me or does this seem to be generated text? Using hallucinated function names in the code, identical text duplicated in different sections, not to mention the tone.

In my case I own land where certain parts cannot be logged beyond removing hazards. The deed for the land included the restriction, though my lawyer was at a loss as to who would seek to enforce it.

Not everyone does. My grandmother died in her own home, with an aid coming to assist with daily caretaking. Though having taken care of a dying relative myself, it weighs on you and I'm really not sure if I could do it again.

If it's a self-hosted web app it is trivial to give yourself access on all of your devices using something like tailscale or wireguard. The same cannot be said for sharing access to a desktop app.
