> AI changes that. Now you don’t need to know anything at all. This is democratisation. Is the cheating the problem, or is the system the problem? If it's so easy to cheat that a person with no previous knowledge or experience can a

A cooking kit. Usually cake baking of some kind. The kids will get bored after the initial mess making part, but will be expecting a yummy treat at the end, so the parent has to see the whole thing through, _and_ clean up the mess. For an a

I just want to say I found this quite an insightful comment. I similarly would love to use a pay-as-you-go pricing model as a way of safely trying out various SaaS services. Unfortunately I feel it is not in the SaaS businesses interests, w

Ha, I feel the pain. I built this a while ago to scratch a similar itch. https://feature-refactor-for-cloudfl.first-contact.pages.dev... It's no longer "live" so I wouldn't try and use it. I was using Supabas

I wonder how different the perception of these projects being late or (massively) over budget would be if we used different words. Bear with me here... Words mean things. Estimate carries a certain weight. It's almost scientific soundi

It's hard to state just how much of a game changer Firebug was for web development. Before that your only option was "alert()"ing or outputting directly to the page. Once Chrome came along with their devtools, improvements qu

This is a noble and ambitious goal. I feel qualified to provide some pointers, not because I have been instrumental in delivering hugely successful projects, but because I have been involved, in various ways, in many, many failed projects.

We've recently moved to Auth0. I'm no security expert. Whats the recommended alternative that provides the same features and price, but without the risks suggested here?

Its LLMs all the way down :-) This can't be scaled to more generalised tasks. If you solve that then you've solved the hallucination issue.

The bank can very much determine if the payment has been made or not (although not immediately, as you mentioned). As a rule, banks like to keep track of money.

Regulated industries (amongst many) need to be deterministic. Imagine your bank being non-deterministic.

The article seems well researched, has some good data, and is generally interesting. It's completely irrelevant to the reality of the situation we are currently in with LLMs. It's falling into the trap of assuming we're going

I'd be interested in seeing React Native in this comparison. I'm not overly familiar with it, but we use it at work. I've no idea if I should expect it to be quicker or slower than something like Next.

My PS2 Fat still works perfectly. The only difficulty I had was getting it running on a HDMI TV, but that was fixed with a fairly well known HDMI adapter and inputting of a specific controller combo to get it into the correct display mode.

I'm waiting for the Tesla FSD playbook to be rolled out for Grok. That is, launch something named like Grok AGI 1, wait for it to become obvious it isn't infact AGI, create a narrative redefining AGI, promise new AGI is 1 year aw

If you're going to be this ridiculous, at least make it look cool. Re-invent the Penny Farthing perhaps. An electric version of that, with some funky way of lifting the rider up, would be amazing. This is like the cronut of bikes, all

Doesn't it all come down to "what is the ideal interface for humans to deal with digital information"? We're getting more and more information thrown at us each day, and the AIs are adding to that, not reducing it. The a
