A fair dice roll can only have positive values {1,2,3,4,5,6} but it has a clearly defined std deviation: sqrt(105/36) -- there's no clear reason this isn't the 'best choice' that's just a case of application.

Where do you draw the line. Would you maintain such ire for someone that worked at, say, mastercard? Unarguably 'fintech', but almost everyone would agree that efficient global transaction networks provide a lot of utility..

I agree that 'unlimited leave' is incompatible with at-will employment. However, this presupposes that most (all) employment is at-will, which obviously isn't true, especially globally.

Most code formatters have pragmas to allow you to break out of the autoformatter, for when you really do need to override (your case 3).

So where's the line. Let's say I split my time 50/50 between a high CoL area and a low CoL area. Am I obligated to declare the lower?

I'm wondering what's stopping a cottage industry popping up of 'synthetic residence' in high CoL areas. E.g. I live in a low-CoL area, but I pay you, someone living a high-CoL area, $100 to nominally be your "flatma
