I like Threads, and think anything driving the normalization of ActivityPub is good. Twitter has collapsed in usability for me. I don’t see community notes, when I search something there’s nothing but crypto scams at the top.

Muting like this is in my opinion dumb. Just move on, you don’t need to ‘purge’ their ability to reach your eyes. Threads is brand new, and the home feed is not meant to be only people you follow as of now.

My entire friend circle is outside of tech and hate politics, and are tired of Twitter imploding. They all want something new, or at least Twitter before Elon. Most recently, we were trying to find news about the Paris riots, and there’s no

This behavior is pathetic. As long as Meta is open to federation to other instances, this can only be a good thing for the entire ecosystem.

Interesting… my experience has been the opposite, except for getting support. I prefer being able to get the product for free immediately and then chat about support later. It’s why we use Rancher, because it takes 20min to set up with Helm

Why is Denmark looking to ban tablets and smartphones? Is this a ban on use of personal devices in the school, or a ban of the use of them as educational tools?

I work for a manufacturing company that needs exactly two types of boxes, generic compute without storage that connects to a SAN, and GPU based servers.

I would take a lower battery life for higher refresh rate. 60hz gaming makes me nauseous, but this is probably because I haven't played a game at <360hz in a long time.

I’ve made this kind of accident before. Within my first 6 months there was a massive internal investigation of someone entering the building without authorization, as they had made their own keycard. I had been asked to analyze a machine’s

Yes. I cannot stand cash, I hate carrying it, I hate coins, I don’t want to keep up with it. I leave my house with nothing but my phone and I’m good. I don’t have a wallet, and I don’t want one. I want efficient and secure digital currency,
