Yeah the government gets the money. I hadn't thought it out completely while I was typing and just put what popped into my head. I did take some form of economics in school but it's not something I really had a heavy interest in b

I am pretty sure a lot of people will just reduce other expenses to compensate. At least for as long as they can. That just means most of the money goes to tobacco companies instead of anything else they would have spent it on. I think I ag

WTF is wrong with that site. I enabled the scripts so that I could use the filters, waited while it refreshed several times, and it just covers the screen with a pop up that just re-opens when you close it. That was one of the worst I'

I must be in the huge minority. I haven't had a single issue with Windows 10 (if we disregard privacy). Literally everything has just worked. I will say thinking about it that my computer used for 99.99% gaming/internet/text

So I've wondered this. If I use a work computer to update some person code on github or blog or whatever online, outside of business hours. Does that fall into their equipment or not? I always assumed yes but I can find arguments for e

I got one of those bike-like thing to put under my desk. Initially for work but that wasn't working so now it's at home. I haven't been great about using it often but it is easy to use while playing games like I would anyways

I usually post something if I don't see it posted before and want to say something or think it's techie/cool. I hear that time of day and day of post make a lot of impact if you want the most exposure. For show/ask HN I

I think you could make the case for multiple online games to have the ability to improve a few skills. Mainly games where you are teamed with random players (especially MOBAs) and must communicate and use teamwork. Games like Scrabble might
